Always try to be on the other side

Some people love to assume. They assume that the products they come out with will appeal to their target customers. They assume they can fully understand the pain and sufferings experienced by the less fortunate people. They assume other people’s work is simple and theirs is not. They assume the person sitting on the next table who is smiling happily is a happy person.

People assume all sort of things.

Don’t do that. I know it’s hard. And to some, it’s near impossible. But avoid it.

If you are never in the other person’s shoes, or never work with them, or never really belong to that community.. you will never understand them. You need to be on the other side, working together with them, living in the same environment, doing the same thing.. then only you will be able to see the clear picture.

If you can’t do that, then don’t assume whatever you think is right, is indeed right. Because most often than not, you are not. :)
