Respect - to get it, you must give it
I always say that we should respect everyone we meet, be it someone at work, in the lift, or someone serving food, cleaning the toilet, etc. Respect for the old people and respect for the kids. Respect for the physically or mentally disabled. Respect for the rich and for the poor.
Respect everyone and whatever they are doing and also respect the things they are contributing (unless they are doing something bad).
Because by doing this, we’ll learn a lot and be happier. We will also gain the respect from most of them (definitely not all).
And well, it makes us feel more comfortable too when we know the people we are hanging out respect us. And for sure, they are hanging out with us because they know we respect them.
It’s all down to RESPECT. Another virtue that I do hope more people in our society will have. People who respect others will be respected by others :)
