Rayna is driven by curiosity
OMG, 9 months sounds so grown up.. oh no.. I’m not ready for my baby to become a toddler!! This month was all about utilizing mobility, she has explored practically all parts of the house.. one thing I’ve learned this month NEVER underestimate your baby.
Here are a few of these months’ developments:
- Her first tooth has come out!!
- Rayna is "cruising" all over the place. She walks very well while holding onto the furniture, nearby hands or legs, one hand on the chair while she walks along looking for the next spot where she can grab. I predict that she'll be walking on her own by next month or two.
- Rayna stands on her own for short periods of time. The longest I have seen her stand is about 5 seconds.
- She’s become so smart and can think of simple solutions.
- Rayna thinks me is the funniest dude on Earth! Papa buat muka sikit je terus dia gelak mcmla kelakar sangat.
- She doesn’t mind falling while playing. Of course we made sure she’s safe - on the play mat and some pillows laying around for her to fall on but we gave her the freedom to explore on her own. When she falls she kept quiet and just quickly gets up again. Unless of course if she sees Mama and start to fake-cry..
- She can crawl so fast now. I move my eyes away for a second and she’s already behind the TV eating the wires.
- She's in a bit of a carseat boycott stage. Once she is in she doesn't make a peep, but she pitches a bloody fit going in. I usually try to distract her by singing a song or making some crazy noises accompanied by ridiculous facial expressions. That usually does the trick. She loves to stand in the car in the space between the two front seats. Mungkin terasa mcm co-pilot kat situ. Dan lagi best kalau dapat berdiri pegang stereng kereta. Mulut mulala bising buat bunyi2 excited sambil pukul2 stereng.
- Kalau tengok Rayna ni physical kecik je sebenarnya. Cinonet jer. Tapi bila tengok dia bergerak sini sana, adoi…tak sangka. I think she’s grown the most this month in terms of mobility. Penat mengejar dia skarang ni. I need to grow an eye at the back of my head now ;P
- Rayna continues to LOVE music. Especially Iklan kat TV - TM Connect everyone tu.. As soon as it plays she starts moving, crawling and standing in front of the TV and dancing.
- Rayna does not want to stop moving. Ever.. especially when she has a target..she will get really excited and determined to get (eat) it.
- Rayna is a good little sleeper. She also waves goodbye..
- Rayna has little interest in the sippy cup. She wants to drink out of a "real" cup. It is a bit messy, but we still let her on occasion. I think mostly the cold water pooling on her gums feels good when she drinks out of a cup. We'll keep trying.
- Rayna's easy going, happy personality is in tact. She really lets anyone hold her at any time. She does sometimes reach for me when someone else is holding her and I am close by, but she really doesn't fuss about it. In fact, we can go whole days without hearing any tears or fussing.
