cool or fool?

I brought up the topic of the "definition of cool" nowadays. from my observation, whether we realize it or not, currently most teenagers in malaysia have a different meaning of "good" and "bad". some people claim that they are "bad" (jahat/setan) but the things they ever did are smoking, skip classes and some other bullshits people just gonna laugh their ass off. i have a good one, but i'm not gonna put it here..hehe..

how do u define "bad", at least in the environment where i'm living now? bad behavior is associated with doing something unfavorable, unpleasant and disturbing to other people, not to god. so the bad people (among others) are backstabbers, playas, bitches, sluts, big fat liars, violent, ignorant & racist people. it's all about your relationship with another human being. in other words, these bad people "apparently" have problems with their social skills, cause they pissed off a lot of "cool" people. it has nothing to do with their relationship with god. at least that's how i see it, i might be wrong.

so now who are the good guys? well the good guys are of course, the cool guys. basically:

cool = extroverts, huha huha, funny, smoke (not social smoker), drinker, get high (do drugs), able to play musical intruments (guitar, drums, etc), clubbing, not a virgin, plenty of sexual experience

not cool = introverts, non-smoker or social smoker, virgin, never drink, never do drugs, nerds, skip classes is something to be proud of (hehe)

it doesn't matter if the cool guys never pray, never fast or never read al-quran in their whole life. they're still considered cool, as long they never do what the "bad guys" do, backstabbing, lying, etc. as we all know, being a teenager can be a struggle for some people, because they experience something we all do, identity crisis. where should i be? the cool guys? or the-not-so-cool guys? should i smoke just to be cool? should i smoke marijuana so my friends won't laugh at me? should i sleep with this hot chick i just met in the disco so i can brag to my homies?

struggling to be considered cool, the uncool guys will do something stupid and against their belief. can we blame them? we are living a society where drinking and smoking are considered cool, so does that justify everything? from where i came from, even the "baik" people wanna be around the cool guys, because they're always the center of attention, huha huha and cracking up jokes. the "baik" people always wanna be seen together with the cool guys, to avoid being labelled nerds and uncool. i know it sounds ridiculous, but i believe that's what actually happening right now, right here in malaysia.

hmm..i wonder if the cool guys are gonna read this blog? heh..

it's dinner time so gotta stop now. later peeps...
