The Birth Story
My wife noticed some spotting after she goes to Subuh prayer. So, me dgn kalutnye bersiap pergi ke Hospital. We reached the hospital around 6.30am. My wife was monitored with the CTG machine and a nurse checked her dilation. She said my wife was 1 cm dialated and to my surprise, she also told me the CTG results showed that my wife was already having mild contractions. She called my wife's doctor. She came back in and told me my wife was to be warded straight away.
She got my wife into the blue robe and that’s when reality sank in. This is it. I thought I would have some sort of instinctive feeling that would tell me the time has come. But no, the moment came sneaking on us. My wife started to panic. Nasib baik I was there to calm her down.
The nurse gave my wife an “injection” up the butt to clear her bowels. At 9am, she inserted the vagina tablets to increase the contraction intensity. My wife dilation progressed really slowly. My gynea had to leave in the afternoon sbb dah lmbt sgt sbb my wife tak beranak2 jugak. She told me; let’s give it some more time. In 12 hours, if the dilation doesn’t increase up to 7-8 cm, we will need to proceed to c-section. The baby’s heartbeat has been steady before but it has started to increase.

The contraction pains came at around 3 am. My wife said they feel like period cramps, but they get more and more painful. Masa ni the nurses asked my wife to sleep tapi dah susah because of the pain. I stayed by my wife side sepanjang malam giving her support and what necessary needed. The whole night my wife was put on the CTG machine. That thing terlalu ketat on my wife tummy, tambah contraction lagi, dahla takleh pusing kiri kanan takleh bangun..kene baring telentang which really hurts her lower back and makes the baby push even more on her ribs.
At around 6.30am, Dr Raja Juhaidah came in to check on my wife. She was only 4 cm dialated after inserting the second tablets 8 hours ago.
