3 months and still counting
Rayna: 1.. 2.. 3 bulan lahhh..Happy 3 month Birthday Rayna!!
She turned 3 months on the 27th. At 3 months Rayna has developed new habits and skills. It’s amazing to watch her grow everyday.
- She can troubleshoot some hardware and computer problem.. hehehehe Nah, Just Kidding!
- She can smile! She’s smiled before but now she smiles for a reason. She smiles whenever she’s happy, when we talk to her, make a funny face. Seronok sgt tgk dia senyum2.. geram!
- She loves it when people talk to her. Kalau siapa rajin layan bercakap2 dgn dia, she stares back intently listening to what we say to her.
- Rayna can talk her own language, produce more saliva and dribbling.. seriously lawak..
- Rayna suka tido meniarap. Tiba2 je dia develop this habit. Kalau tido terlentang sekejap dah bgn balik. Tapi kalau tido meniarap lena dia tido. At first takut jugak nak bagi dia tido meniarap takut dia tersembam muka. Tapi now I’m not so worried sbb dia pandai angkat2 kepala pusing kiri kanan to find her own comfortable position. (only allow this for daytime naps la). Mlm2 elok pulak dia tido telentang on her cot.
- Rayna become more visually alert and are attracted by nearby objects that move or are brightly coloured. Curtains, shadows, mobiles, etc. She will be studied intently for a few minutes. Sometimes, she put her hands together over the chest and study them thoughtfully. She will then put them into the mouth for further exploration.
- Dah suka mandi. Esp if mandikan dia while singing or talking to her. Dia pun berboxing la dlm bathtub tu dgn muka happy while looking at me.
- She’s very well behaved! Seriously, taking care of her is so easy. Alhamdulillah. Of course she has her bad days sometimes, but most of the time mmg baik je dia. Takde meraung2 out of the blue. Jarang nak dgr suara dia menangis2. Senang nak bawak travel. How did we get so lucky?
Alhamdulillahh.. and thank you Rayna, tak pernah susahkan Mama and Papa..

Rayna's 2nd month check up
Last Friday Rayna had her second check up. In the morning we woke up early to get ready. Agak kelam kabut jugak sbb this is first time we visit Az-Zaharah BBB. This is also Rayna’s second time change the paed. Masa mula2 masuk dlm kereta tu, dia menangis macam tahu2 je nak kene cucuk. But for her own good & for her health so terpaksa bawak jugak. Alhamdulillah, lepas the car dah start jalan.. Rayna senyap je sambil mata melilau tgk keliling dia jadi syok pulak duduk dalam carseat tu. Lama2 dia khayal sampai tertido dlm tu..
Sampai hospital we went to Dr Nazim’s clinic. Rayna ukur berat. Guess how much she weighs now? 4.8 kg! tak sangka Rayna dah besar. Dr Nazim ckp berat ok. Lepas tu Dr examined her and gave her jab. Kesian Rayna, kene inject dekat peha. Menangisla but tak la meraung like before.
We asked Dr Nazim about rashes since Rayna had some rashes on her body. He said rashes Rayna biasa2 je, no need for special cream or anything, Cuma letak baby lotion je. Rayna ada jugak putih2 kat lidah. He examined her tongue and he said that’s only because of milk. Basically he said Rayna looks healthy, alhamdulillah. He gave us colic drops and ubat demam in case Rayna develops fever because of the jab. Most likely she need it.
Beza betul keluar rumah time berdua and keluar bertiga. Kene prepare awal, kene bawak beg Rayna, stroller Rayna. Kene curi masa & cari tmpt nak breastfeed Rayna. but.. She’s so well behaved! Alhamdulillah.. macam ni selalu la kite kuar jalan2 kan Rayna..
My on-call pun dah nak habis. No more working from home for now, I’m feeling the blueees . Next week dah start hantar g Nursery balik and i can’t watch her 24/7 anymore.

Susu.. oh susu..
Have you all realised the rising costs of stuff nowadays in Malaysia? Everything seems to increase when fuel increases. How ironic! Anyway, since last few months, I have noticed that milk powder have increased tremendously from previous months. Most milk powder brands have increased their prices quite a lot. Rayna drinks Enfalac A+. Before you can purchase Enfalac A+ at around RM52+ per 850g tin. Now, if not mistaken, it has RM76+. Gone up to almost RM24.
Now the price has gone up to RM79.50(based on normal retail price)! Shopped around and managed to get the cheapest 400g tin was around RM45, itu pon kat Kedah. We definitely need to search back the wholesaler in KL for milk powder which we can get the cheapest price for Enfalac A+, but I am predicting wholesale price probably have gone up anyhow.
Anyone got any “jalan” for cheaper milk powder price? Semua barang naik, gaji saja tak naik. Forgot to mention that only that day I buy a ferry tickets to Langkawi and that too has gone up in price. So what is dropping in price? Mekdi maybe..
